AP - Animatic

This is what we did for our animatic. It was not complete as at the time we had done the storyboarding for this part of the video as this is what we planned to film first but our actor was busy on the day.

Anthony's Questions
  • My individual contribution to the storyboarding/animatic task was putting together the animatic as I am really not good at drawing
  • However, I did come up with ideas for the storyboarding, I just didn’t draw them.
  • From this process I learned that when filming, a wide range of distances and angles are needed as it means you will have more to work with when it comes to putting it all together.
  • Also, I have learned that a high cutting rate will be needed for our video.
  • Dull colouring also looks best.
  • This process helped develop our concept as it meant we storyboarded our whole piece and we now know exactly what we will be filming.
  • This was harder than at AS level as there are a lot more shots you have to film meaning there is more storyboarding which has to be done during the planning process.
  • Also, we have to film enough for the track where as last year, we just had to film for a minimum of 2 minutes.
